Apart from Ayodhya, Kashi Mathura should also be given to Hindus ...: Wasim Rizvi

Lucknow, Ta. Tuesday 22 October 2019

Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Chairman Wasim Rizvi on Monday called for the return of Hindus to places like Kashi Mathura besides Ayodhya. The mistake our ancestors made is like seizing an opportunity.

The call came from the head of the Shiite community after Sunni Muslims demanded that prayers be offered on Ayodhya's disputed land. He said, 'It is time to give back the Hindus to the lands and places of worship that had stripped the Mughal rule.

The land of the mosques erected in place of the temples should be returned to the Hindus. We must rectify the mistake our ancestors made in order to establish peace and brotherhood in the country. '

In an interview to a reputable English newspaper on Monday, Wasim Rizvi said that we were forced to call this following the permission of the Sunni Muslim community to pray in a controversial place. He added that after the Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya issue, the Muslims should think back to the places where the temples have been demolished and returned to the Hindus, for the sake of disputes of other synagogues not to arise.

Rizvi said that just because the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute ended, the matter would not be over. Other synagogues are likely to be disputed. Instead, if such places are reassigned from the front, brotherhood will be maintained in the country and peace and law will be followed.
