Islamabad, Ta. Wednesday 16 October 2019

Pakistan, which is almost bankrupt in economic terms, is likely to receive another blow. News that Pakistan would impose duty on seasonal exports increased Pakistan's tension.

Afghanistan's leading businessmen have appealed to their government to seek duty on the fruits and vegetables of Pakistan and Iran which are in the local markets. The Afghan government should take on duty on Iranian and Pakistani vegetables and fruits to help local trade.

Currently, the domestic Afghan market is full of Iranian and Pakistani fruits and vegetables. The vegetables and fruits that come from there, we also happen. So to help our producers and traders, the Afghan government should impose duty on Iranian and Pakistani goods.

Business representatives said that imposing duty would also benefit the government treasury. Apart from local manufacturers and traders, the government should take a decision in this direction as soon as possible to benefit the government. If the Afghan government accepts the request of the local businessmen, Pakistan will face further economic crisis.
