A nuclear war between India and Pakistan will cost 10 million people

Washington, Ta. 3. October 2019 Thursday

Pakistan has threatened nuclear war more than once on the Kashmir issue. Now a US university has claimed in its research that 100 million people would die if a nuclear war between the two countries took place.

According to the report, the Rutgers University of America has made this statement. According to the report, terrorists sitting in Pakistan over the issue of Jammu and Kashmir could launch more attacks on India. This could also be targeted in the Parliament of India.

India will take military action against Pakistan to respond to the terrorist attacks. These operations can also take place in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Then the biggest war breaks out between the two countries.

According to the report, Pakistan currently has 150 nuclear weapons. By 2025, the number could rise to 200. In total, the two countries will have 400 to 500 nuclear weapons. If the war is turned into a nuclear war, 10 million people will be killed on both sides.

Alan Robok, who authored the report, says that on the Kashmir issue, friction on the border between the two countries is continuing and there is a lot of potential that it could turn into a war. The big countries of the world need to pay attention to this.

The report also mentions the ongoing conflict in several Central Asian countries, including Israel, China, France, Russia and Palestine, though it has described the conflict between India and Pakistan as the most serious.

The report also predicts the situation that will arise after the nuclear war. It states that if nuclear weapons are attacked, then the sunlight on Earth will decrease by 20 to 35 percent. This will reduce the world temperature by two to five degrees. The ice age may come again.

Fire and smoke generated by nuclear weapons can burn 26 to 36 million tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere. The consequences will be severe.
