We will lose if we go to international court on Kashmir issue: Pak. Ministry of Law

Islamabad, Ta. September 14, 2019, Saturday

Pakistani leaders and foreign ministers are making statements in the international court on Kashmir issue, and Imran Khan is also threatening to raise the issue in the United Nations. Amidst this situation, Imran Khan's government has now been advised by the Pakistani Law Ministry that it is not possible to take the Kashmir issue to international court.

Pakistan has been in a turmoil since Article 370 was abolished. And in any case wants to spread the matter internationally. For this reason he was preparing to go to the International Court but now the Law Ministry has turned the water on him.

Pakistan's Law Minister has clearly stated that it is not possible for the Law Ministry to go to international court. So it is likely that there are reports that Pakistan has now refused to go to international court following the advice of the Law Ministry.

Pakistan's Law Minister Farooq Naseem has advised Imran Khan and other ministers that if Pakistan takes up the Kashmir issue in international court, it may be defeated as there is not enough evidence to prove that Pakistan is its party.

However, he also advised that if Pakistan wants to take up the issue internationally, it should go to the UN Security Council or the UN General Assembly. However, Pakistan also lagged behind in the UN Security Council meeting held earlier and countries like the US, Britain, France, Russia supported India.

Therefore, even in the Security Council, Pakistan has accepted defeat so there is no other way to raise the Kashmir issue at present. Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister have been warning that we will take the matter to the international court. However, now these efforts have turned water back on.
