Two Naxals killed in clash with security forces in Chhattisgarh

Two donors were killed in clashes with security forces in the forests of Dantiwada in Chhattisgarh, police said today. The encounter took place around 11:30 pm on Friday night when a joint team of local police and district reserve guards were patrolling the Kutaram village under the Kirandu police station for an anti-Naxal operation. After a few clashes, security forces fled the dense forests to take advantage of the darkness when security forces tried to capture the Naxals.

The corpses of two Naxals were finally found after the security team continued their search. Both of these men were members of the Maoist committee in Malnagir area and they had a prize of Rs 5 lakh each. Two pistols and rifles of foreign origin were recovered from him.

Meanwhile, Naxals killed a Pulum village man on suspicion of being illiterate. On Saturday morning, the body of Miraya Manjalan was found in the village of Kiranul village. Police said he was killed on suspicion of being bottled.

'Maoist literature was found at the scene of the incident. Manjal was accused of being a police informant. It was also claimed in the literature that Manjal was killed in public court as his crime proved.

However, no one has come forward to help the police. Police security in the inland areas was enhanced in view of the by-election of the Dantiwada Assembly on September 23.
