Terrorists tried to stop the bus in Batot

Terrorists attempted to stop a bus on National Highway 244 in Batot area in Jammu and Kashmir. This led to a confrontation between security forces and terrorists.

According to a Defense Ministry spokesman, a bus was trying to stop a bus on National Highway 244 in Buttot at 7.30am this morning. The cautious bus driver did not stop the bus, however, reported on the nearest security post.

Soon the Quick Response Team rushed to the scene of the clash between militants and security forces.

The terrorists were hiding in the nearby Chakla Nala on the arrival of Indian Army personnel and started firing on security from there. Security began firing. The police and the Indian army surrounded the village of Dharmund and its surrounding areas. As this was being written (eleven o'clock in the morning), sammasa firing continued.

On August 5th, the incidence of terrorist attacks in the state was reduced after the Indian government canceled the 370th Article giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
