People should be unaware of the dangers of e-cigarettes: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen through radio program Mann Ki Baat on Sunday. In the meantime, PM Modi said that there has been misconception about e-cigarettes that there is no risk to the people.

In fact, heating a nicotine-rich liquid into e-cigarettes, unlike ordinary cigarettes, produces a kind of chemical smoke, which is harmful to health. Modi also raised the issue of single use plastic in Mann Ki Baat.

Prime Minister Modi made Mann Ki Baat for the fourth time in his second term. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister greeted the countrymen on other festivals including Navratri and appealed to the country to release the country from the single use plastic to make the 150th Gandhi Jayanti special. Mentioning tobacco in Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi appealed to people to abstain from intoxication.

He said that tobacco causes many fatal illnesses. Tobacco affects the development of the brain, which is harmful to health and should be avoided. Modi mentioned the recent ban on e-cigarettes and said that they also contain harmful chemicals and people are unaware of this.
