At the behest of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, lawyer Harish Salve, a former Indian Navy officer arrested in Pakistan, accepted the case in the International Court of Justice Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Sushma Swaraj's husband Kaushal Swaraj tweeted, "The final wish of Sushma Swaraj has been fulfilled by the flute. The flute has given to Harish Salve the one rupees you had to pay for Kulubhushan Jadhav's case."

Salve is one of the most expensive lawyers in the country. According to a report, he charges up to Rs 30 lakh as a day's fee, but he agreed to take a rupee fee to fight the case of an Indian citizen against Pakistan.
