Now the Chief Minister and others will pay the tax themselves: Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh announced

Lucknow, Ta. Saturday September 14, 2019

Since 1981, the state government of Uttar Pradesh has recruited the taxation of its chief minister and cabinet members from the government treasury. Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the Yogi Adityanath had immediately discontinued the project as news spread across the media against him on Friday.

Until the 1980s, Uttar Pradesh was counted among the poorest states and in 1981 Vishwanath Pratap Singh, who was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed a law that would tax all Uttar Pradesh ministers from the state treasury. Since then, 19 Chief Ministers and a thousand other Ministers have changed and many of them are facing unfounded property cases in the Supreme Court. Mulayam Singh Yadav of Mayawati and SP of BSP is the chief minister.

Until now, these politicians were claiming that we did not know about this. Interestingly, even the people can understand how ridiculous these people's claim of being ignorant of income taxes, property taxes etc. are. Talking about Mayawati alone, in the 2012 assembly elections, Mayawati had declared her assets of 111 crore in her candidature.

In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Akhilesh Yadav and his wife, SP, said their total assets worth Rs 37 crore were included in the candidature. According to the present Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's candidature, calling himself a monk, his wealth is Rs 95 lakh. How are these leaders called poor?
