Notice to Government Private Companies, Give SC-ST Employee Data in 24 Hours

The government is seeking information from private companies on how many employees belong to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) classes in their companies. Regional Provident Fund Offices are sending e-mails to private companies in Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and have been asked to send all the information within 24 hours of receiving the mail.

It is noteworthy that many organizations have been demanding reservation in private companies, and such speculation has led to various speculations as to why the government is seeking such information. This notification is not related to any one sector or industry, but it has been sent to all incoming companies under a Regional Poviduct Fund office.

This email has asked for the company name, total number of employees, number of SC employees, number of ST employees. This email was sent with the subject of Most Urgent - Submission of SC-ST employees in your company. The mail has caused problems for many companies because many private companies do not have employee-based statistics.
