Modi picks up the fallen flower at the airport reception

Houston, Ta. September 22, 2019, Sunday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fully aware of sanitation even outside India. He showed the world that he not only talks about cleanliness but also works for it.

When Modi arrived at the George Bush International Airport for a 'Howdy Modi' mega event on a weeklong visit to the United States on Saturday, an American official issued a bouquet of flowers to Modi, accompanied by US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster, Indian Ambassador to India Harsh Shrungla and other senior officials.

A flower had fallen from one of these chests. To the surprise of all, Modi himself lifted this flower from the ground with low humidity. His awareness of hygiene surprised everyone. Prime Minister Modi will be awarded the 'Global Goalkeepers Award' at the Lincoln Center by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for Leadership in the field of sanitation through 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'.
