ISRO chairman cries in horror, PM's head bowed

Bangalore, Ta. Saturday September 7, 2019

A few seconds before the Chandrayaan sent to India to land at the Moon's South Pole, the Earth Scientists' contact with Chandrayaan-2 was broken and the Chairman of SIRO was upset and laid his head on the shoulder of the Prime Minister present and wept like a baby. The Prime Minister had calmed them down and increased their enthusiasm.

The Prime Minister told him that we would definitely succeed. At this later stage of the adventure, we are going to succeed. Every problem, every struggle teaches us something new. Science is not a failure, it is just experimentation and effort.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself was also present at the headquarters of ISRO's Bengaluru when contact with Chandrayan Two broke down. Then at dawn the Prime Minister reached the ISRO headquarters once again, and the enthusiasm of the scientists increased.

The Prime Minister said that I salute all the scientists involved in this adventure. Last night I could understand the mental state of all of you. All your eyes were saying something. I could see the sadness on your face. All I can tell you is that the whole country is with you. You haven't slept for many nights.

You have worked hard day and night for this adventure. I could not stay longer with you at night. But I was constantly feeling that I should see you again at dawn. You should talk to him. There was sadness on the faces of everyone associated with this mission when we lost contact with Chandrayaan-Two. But at that moment I was also with you.

Chandrayan Two Mission suffered a shock late Saturday night when Lander Vikram was just two kilometers away from the moon when his contact with ISRO was broken. The faces of everyone present at the ISRO headquarters were filled with sadness.
