If a military action is taken against us, a terrible war will break out: Iran

(PTI) Tehran, Ta. September 19, 2019, Thursday

While the United States and its Gulf allies are blaming Iran for the attack on Saudi Arabia, Iran has threatened that if Iran takes military action, a deadly war will break out.

In an interview to a channel, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif was asked what would be the result if the US or Saudi Arabia attacked Iran? In response, Zarif said a fierce war would erupt.

The Iranian Foreign Minister further said that we do not want war. We do not want military action because it will cause great harm to both sides. But we have to take action to protect our territory.

Zarif further said that although we have no involvement in the attacks on Saudi Arabia, they are falsely accusing us of obtaining anything which is indicative of a deadly war.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wants a peaceful settlement of the tensions created after the Saudi attack. It is worth mentioning that Pompeo recently blamed Iran for the attack on Saudi.

The US Foreign Minister met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman yesterday in Jeddah and discussed the attack on the Aramco Oil Company. He had arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Riyadh.

Meanwhile, crude oil prices rose today, threatening Iran's war and raising concerns over oil supply. Brent oil prices were up about two percent today. Today it was also reported that Saudi Arabia would import oil to normalize its oil reserves. The report saw crude prices rise.
