Free entry, boarding pass will not be required to be available at Delhi airport from today

New delhi date. September 6, 2019, Friday

From today's Indira Gandhi International, the capital can be accessed by showing only face instead of boarding pass. A biometric facial recognition machine has been installed at the airport.

The machine was being tested for the last three months. This decision was made after all the tests were passed. As part of the central government's decision to boost Digital India, air travel was also started to be paperless.

Currently the system is configured in three layers. When the passenger arrives at the airport gate with his ticket, he will have to show his identity card.

The face details contained in the passport or the credentials will only be released once in the machine and it will be permanently free from hassle.

This arrangement is currently being done at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
