Dorian Hurricanes swept Florida into Category-Four

(PTI) Washington, Ta. August 31, 2019, Saturday

Hurricane Dorian has slowly shifted to Category-4 and has moved to Florida. According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, the storm may become smaller by approaching the coast.

The hurricane center was 575 miles east of Palm Beach, Florida. The storm is blowing 130 miles per hour due to the storm, making it a Category-4 hazard, the US National Hurricane Center said.

Due to the storm, some areas in the Bahamas are expected to receive up to 20 inches of rain. The hurricane model is not consistent in terms of timing, but some other models show that hurricanes could hit the east coast instead of hitting land in Florida, the National Hurricane Center said in its advisory.

The National Weather Service has launched additional weather balloons in North America and the Atlantic to try and find out what the weather patterns will be in the coming weeks. Dorian Florida does not hit the ground and only extends parallel to the coast, but the state may receive torrential rains, and the storm may move to Georgia and South Carolina.
