Delhi: Vehicles strike to protest new traffic law, life-threatening

New delhi date. September 19, 2019 Thursday

People were experiencing problems early in the morning when the United Front of Transport Association in New Delhi announced a strike in capital New Delhi in protest of the new traffic law. There were no taxis or rickshaws.

Delhi's schools voluntarily closed today due to a vehicular strike and the children were suddenly given an extra holiday. The state government or the education department did not make any announcement, but the drivers of the school bus joined the strike and the schools declared a leave.

Uber-Ola did not join the strike, but Uber-Ola taxi drivers did not remove their vehicles on the road, fearing that the striking drivers would provoke the attack.

41 drivers' unions have joined together in announcing the strike. Thus, more than one state has also opposed the new traffic law. So it is no surprise that drivers in Delhi are protesting.
