Srinagar, Ta. September 23, 2019, Monday

The government has claimed that around 50,000 temples in Jammu and Kashmir were closed and will be reopened. The time for holding elections in Kashmir is approaching. In the midst of this situation, the government has said that we will reopen these temples. Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said that the central government was committed to the development of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Reddy, about 50,000 temples in Kashmir were closed and our government is going to reopen them. Asked about when the assembly elections will be held in the state, he said that once the status quo is in place, we will organize elections in the state as well. Just as we have successfully completed the election of the Sarpanch, assembly elections will be completed as well. For that, however, a first step must be made.

Internet service has been discontinued at several sites in Kashmir after the abolition of 370, in addition to reports that militants are still active and the army has been alerted and curfew was imposed. Although all these sanctions are slowly being lifted, the government has made it clear that preparations will be held for assembly elections after the sanctions will be lifted.

The union minister also claimed that the temples that were closed by the previous governments would be reopened. At the same time, new theaters will be opened in the state and in the Union Territory like Ladakh. Other development projects will also be launched. This step will accelerate state development. There are also many schools that have had to close for years, we are going to reopen these schools.
