Chinmayanand case: The victim was also arrested

Former Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand, who was accused of raping a student, was also arrested by the police for allegedly blackmailing her.

The victim and her two friends were picked up by police on Tuesday and got their remand. The police also found a video clip of the trio calling Black Swami Chinmayanand and blackmailing them. Based on this, the police arrested the three men. According to a report, the victim called Swami eighty-five times.

Thus, there was a new turning point in the Shahjahanpur case. The victim was brought to the Chowk Kotwali police station. He will be taken to the hospital on Wednesday and undergo a medical examination. He will then be sent to prison.

DGP OP Singh of the Special Investigative Team formed by the Uttar Pradesh Police said, "We arrested the girl accused of raping Swami Chinmayanand for allegedly demanding money by blackmailing her."

We arrested him on Thursday, September 26, before the girl's anticipatory bail application was scheduled to be heard on Thursday. SIT had learned through telephone record that the victim and his two friends Vikram and Sachin had demanded Rs five crore from Swami Chinmayananda.

Based on this information, both the victim and his friend were also arrested. These people were suspected of his arrest, so the victim filed a bail plea and urged him to be heard immediately. But the court did not accept the request and announced September 26 for the hearing.

Meanwhile, the police on Wednesday morning took the victim and her two friends into custody. Police are currently searching for a missing mobile phone. Swami Chinmayanand is currently in jail.

After receiving evidence against him, he complained of poor health and was admitted to the hospital. But police also arrested him after a medical examination.
