Boycott coached by Pakistani hockey team

Karachi, September 13, 2019, Friday

After the Pakistani cricket team boycotted its coach, now the hockey team of Pakistan has also announced the boycott of the newly appointed coach.

Earlier, Pakistan's new coach Misbah-ul-Haq was dismissed by the team's players before the controversy ended.

Senior hockey players refused to play with Khwaja Junaid, the new coach for the hockey team or to follow his advice. Thus now the hockey team was out of contention. To play against a strong team like the Netherlands, the Pakistani hockey team needs constant practice and expert coach guidance. On the other hand, it is also time to prepare for the qualifying competition before the declining Tokyo Olympics. At that time the internal tension of the team is said to have been intense.
