On the holy day of the rally in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a youth raped his cousin's sister.
The 16-year-old girl was alone in the house. His mother, Pierre, had gone to his brother's basement. Seeing the girl alone, her cousin's beard was burning and she raped her sister.
The girl, complaining to her relatives, blamed her for being so guilty that the girl got suicidal at night by eating pills. Police sent the body for postmortem. Efforts to arrest the boy are underway, police said.
