Tribute paid to Atal Bihari Vajpayee's first death anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other dignitaries on Sunday morning on the occasion of the first death anniversary of the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and paid homage to Atalji.

An incredible monument has been erected in the capital, known as the Evergreen Atoll.

Vajpayee became the first Prime Minister in 1996. But his government collapsed in just 13 days due to lack of majority. Then again in 1998 Vajpayee became Prime Minister. This time his government lasted 13 months. He ruled for five years in 1999, becoming the third prime minister. The poet was considered a liberal compared to the other BJP leaders at heart.

Vajpayee has been in politics since 1957 and when he first spoke in Parliament, the first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was so impressed that he introduced Vajpayee to a foreign guest and asked if you would. This young man will one day become Prime Minister.
