Faridabad, August 29, 2019, Thursday

The Telangana Express was set ablaze this morning at Pila Railway Station near Vallabhanagar in Uttar Pradesh. However, there were no reports of any injuries or fatalities. The incident took place on Thursday morning at Poona Eight.

Normally the train did not stop at the mug station but the brake bedding caused a torrent of flames to reach the rear two coaches. The passengers were overwhelmed. However, the fire was soon overcome. On-going trains were interrupted. Engine front and rear portions were shipped for necessary repair.

The local fire brigade quickly ran out and extinguished the flames shortly thereafter. A Northern Railway spokeswoman said no passenger was injured or injured.
