Sitaram Yechury gets permission to go to Kashmir

New Delhi, Aug 28, 2019, Wednesday

The country's Supreme Court has allowed leftist leader Sitaram Yechury to go to Jammu and Kashmir. Yechury told the court that I would like to meet my party MLA M Teragami. The Chief Justice warned him that you were only going to meet your friend. There will be no playing politics.

When the Supreme Court asked the Solicitor General why the government was preventing Yechury, he replied that it was a political visit and we stopped him.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court sent a notice to the central government pursuing a petition challenging the Center's move to cancel the 370th Article, which has special status in Jammu and Kashmir. The next hearing on the issue will be held in October, the Supreme Court said.
