SBI, the country's largest bank, is reported to be heading towards cancellation of ATM card soon.
SBI Chairman Rajneesh Kumar said, "We are planning to launch digital payment facility so the ATM card will be canceled. Millions of plastic debit cards are currently in operation across the country. We plan to implement a digital payment system by canceling it.
From March 2019, the State Bank started offering vaginal payments to its customers. At present, there are 90 crore debit cards and 300 million credit cards in the State Bank alone, Rajneesh Kumar said. Rajneesh Kumar said that at present 15 thousand ATM chambers have arranged yoni cash. Gradually all such chambers will have such facilities.
