New Delhi, August 20, 2019, Tuesday

The Malaysian government has begun to take drastic action on India's runaway controversial Maulvi Zakir Naik. Zakir was banned from performing religious lectures in public. Zakir Naik also created one or the other kind of controversy in India. He was outside the country when legal action was initiated against him.

He did not return to India as he feared he would be arrested. He had become a Malaysian citizen. But after the controversial statement he made in Malaysia recently, the Malaysian government turned a blind eye to it.

According to a report published by the local Malay Mail newspaper, Zakir was clearly informed that the Malaysian police also confirmed the news not to make religious lectures in public and said that Zakir's public statements were imposed on public peace and law and order.
