Prime Minister Modi said that the idea of ​​canceling 370 has been taken very deliberately. This will create new employment opportunities across the region. The youth of Jammu and Kashmir will play a vital role in the country's economic development and take the region to new heights.

Modi said the decision would increase the average income of Jammu and Kashmir. Unity will be established and the speed of scientific research will also increase. The Prime Minister claimed that many businessmen were ready to invest in Jammu and Kashmir soon after the 370 Article was abolished. In a closed environment, there is no economic development of any region. Economic growth requires open markets and open minds. It will now be possible in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

The Prime Minister said that is the ideal situation for investment in the valley. There is immense potential for healthcare, tourism, farming, IT, etc. There will be an eco-system where skills will be provided. In an interview to the English newspaper, Narendra Modi said that there was also opportunity for educational institutions like IIT and IIM in Jammu and Kashmir. Modi expressed optimism that this section would be developed from airports to railway operations and infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir as well as in Ladakh.
