Gandhi's Aarti takes place in the Bhatra village of Orissa


Gandhi's temple is located in Bhatra village of Sambalpur district of Orissa. This unique temple is performed in the evening. Aam Aadmi Gandhi has become a worshiper in Devalaya besides just text books. There is so much faith in them that they are starting to believe in God. A six-foot statue of Gandhi's bronze has been placed beneath the Tiranga. A statue of Bharat Mata and Ashoka pillars have been erected at the entrance to the temple.


The initiative to build this temple was done by a devout Hindu named Abhimanyu. People in the village believe that Gandhiji came to this village to convey the message of annihilation of Chu Chhat in 7th. The village people were impressed by the simplicity and duty of Gandhiji. When Abhimanyu became the MLA of the area, Gandhi started making aarti puja by building a temple in the area. Nandini Satpathy did. People come to see this unique temple from afar.
