Empty bungalows in one week, otherwise ...: Central government warning former MPs

New Delhi, August 20, 2019, Tuesday

Former MPs, who were staying in government bungalows in the posh area of the capital New Delhi and who had been stranded for six months, were warned that the power supply and water lines of the bungalows would be cut off if the government bungalows were not vacated within a week.

Since the 1950s, former ministers and MPs have been bribing billions worth of bills. Despite frequent notice these people do not vacate the bungalow. The present central government has decided to take drastic action against such marginalized leaders.

The decision was taken at a meeting of our committee on Monday, CR Patil, chairman of the Lok Sabha housing committee, told the media. The electricity, water and gas connections of the leaders who will not evacuate the bungalows will be cut off. According to the rules, once defeated in the Lok Sabha elections, everyone should vacate the government bungalow within a month. Instead, in some cases people have been digesting such bungalows for years. We are no longer free without taking drastic action.
