It was a tragic event that Jagjit Kaur, daughter of Lord Singh, the Guru of the Tent Sahib gurudwara, located in the Nankana Sahib of Pakistan, was forced to marry a Muslim young man.
This made the Sikhs around the world angry, and almost all Sikh organizations criticized Pakistan. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, said that Sikh gurus opposed the ever-changing proselytizing and that Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh, who was active in this movement, had taken the martyrdom.
Sirsa said that Sikhs are a minority in Pakistan. We sought Prime Minister Imran Khan to take stern action against the culprits through the Pakistani embassy.
