Amit Shah's rally will be held today in Jind of Haryana

Chandigarh, Ta. 16th August 2019, Friday

For the first time since becoming the Home Minister of the country, Amit Shah will address a public meeting in Jind, Haryana today. This rally is named Astha Rally.

There is a majority of Jat people in Jind and the BJP is currently trying to appease Jat voters. Former Union Minister Virendra Singh has organized the rally. Virendra Singh was formerly Congress MP. He also vacated his seat in the Rajya Sabha after leaving Congress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made Virender Singh a minister in his first term when he joined the BJP.

At today's rally, Amit Shah Jat will formally invite voters to join BJP. A BJP leader said that there was nothing like opposition in Haryana, but we are hopeful of getting fifteen seats with a Jat majority in the assembly.
