Due to severe flood conditions all over North India, Rajasthan and elsewhere, Railway today announced on Sunday 19 August to cancel 435 trains and change the route of 134 trains. With the cancellation of such a number of trains, thousands of passengers were reported to have been stranded there.
The announcement was also made on the passenger jog radio and TV from Railways. The passenger was given two options. The first option was to travel through a changed route. Another route was to cancel the tickets on time. The railway has said that it can implement the option which suits them.
