40 thousand cusecs of water was released from Bhakra Dam

After heavy rains, 40,000 cusecs of water was released from the Bhakra dam to be completely filled. Authorities warned people living in the Sutlej river bank area in Jalandhar to move to a safe place.

They were informed that a dangerous situation could occur in the low lying areas. However, the district authorities claimed that our couple was watching the situation.

Jalandhar vice-chairman Varinder Kumar Sharma claimed that there was no need to worry. We are ready for relief work. People should also be careful themselves. Flooding conditions can occur in areas near the river.
