12% of Assam population joins BJP, Assam BJP announces recruitment ban

A total of sixteen lakh 94,051 people joined the BJP in Assam during the campaign to get new members launched by the BJP last year. On August 20, the BJP announced that it had completed its registration process.

In the last one year, BJP made 300 million new members. In Assam alone, the number of BJP members surpassed the 40 lakh mark. Assam BJP has formally announced that the new recruitment has stopped. In fact, there are thousands of families currently living outside Assam and eager to enroll in the Citizen Register by proving their citizenship. They all have a secret fear that they will be expelled from India, so if there is BJP membership, then there will be some security.

Though the BJP's Mowadi congregation expressed concern over the split by Congress members, it is likely that Assam leaders have announced the recruitment ban.

Assam BJP president Ranjit Kumar told the media that we have stopped all other political party members from taking part in the BJP. The only one in Bodoland was the new tide going on.
