The Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, dreamed of connecting Amethi-Sultanpur rail route. However, this morning, the Union Minister and Amethi MP Smriti Irani is going to complete.
Recently, Smriti Irani visited railway minister Piyush Goyal. After that the work on this project has begun. There are 37 villages in the 34 km long railway track. Survey work has been completed for this track.
The project will require 133 hectares of land. The acquisition process will start sooner. From Amethi to Sultanpur this route will go to Rae Bareli. As a parliamentarian in 2013, Rahul Gandhi planted the project. However, the work did not proceed further.
As part of the plan for rail project, there will be four stations, including Sultanpur and Amethi. Rae Bareli, Barabanki, Ayodhya district will be connected to one another due to the railway track.
