An earthquake of 7.3 magnitudes occurred on the island of Maluk, in Indonesia, in eastern Indonesia, due to which the panicked people ran on the road from the houses, although there was no warning of the tsunami.

An earthquake struck about 6:28 in the evening, 165 km southwest of Ternate town in northern Malook province, which was at a depth of ten kilometers, according to the US Geological Survey.

"Last year too Pulu's 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck, and then there was a tsunami that killed more than 2200 people and thousands of people were missing." The earthquake was very strong due to which people rushed on the road. Many people were waiting for help in a panic situation, "said local disaster management officer Mansur. Officials were reviewing the situation, however no news of their death or damage was reported.

Last week, there was an earthquake of 6.9 magnitude in the region, but it did not cause much damage. Since there is a 'ring of fire' in Indonesia Pacific, there are frequent earthquakes and volcanoes also explode here. Tactonic plates also interfere with each other. On December 26, 2004, there was an earthquake of 9.1 magnitude in Sumatra due to which more than 2,200,000 people were killed in the tsunami, 170000 were killed in Indonesia alone.
