- This 'Marut' fighter jet was the first self-made fighter-bomber in Asia: built without Russian assistance.

New Delhi: Very few people will know about Marut, a self-made fighter bomber who licked the dust off Pakistan in the 1911 Longowala war. The fighter, which became Asia's first self-built fighter jet, was built without Russia's help. The warplane, which was started in the 180s, had been serving the country for eight years. Even though its speed was 'Mach-1' i.e. not more than 15 kilometers per hour, but with its creation, the world got the message that India has become self-sufficient in the direction of becoming a fighter bomber.

The aircraft was built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited but was designed by German aeronautical engineer Kurttenk. It was the first fighter jet to be fully self-built with no Russian assistance.

The aircraft was named HF-24 Marut.

Its first flight took place on 16 June 191. It may have been supersonic with mass production on April 1, but its speed was not more than 15 km per hour. (Which number 1) So despite the opposition, the country had built a total of 12 such aircraft. It was used by the Indian Air Force.

During the Indo-Pak war of 191, in the Longowala war, the aircraft was shot down by 300 artillery and destroyed by Pakistani tankers.

From the 19th, the Indian Air Force started de-commissioning those aircraft. In 190, all the 'Marut' fighter bomber jets served the country a lot. In the battle of 181, Squadron Leader K. That. Bakshi called for the elimination of Pakistan's F-86 Saber fighter jets.
