Devotees gather in Kashi-Ujjain on the first Monday of Shravan with the slogan of Har Har Mahadev

Today is the first Monday of Shravan in the time of Korona. Due to this, a crowd of devotees of Lord Shankar is gathering outside the Shivalayas. Although the atmosphere is not as enthusiastic as before because of Corona but still his devotees are reaching the temple to reserve Lord Shiva in Shravan. Outside many temples there is a line of devotees with observance of social distance.

Lord Shiva is being anointed in the temples. Devotees from Varanasi, the city of Lord Shankar, to Mahakal in Ujjain and also to the temples in Delhi are arriving early in the morning to anoint Lord Shiva. On the first day of Shravan, worship was performed in the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. A crowd of devotees had gathered outside the temple since early morning. After the adornment of Lord Bholanath, the devotees followed the social distance and anointed Lord Shiva with water.

A huge crowd of devotees was also seen outside the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, the city of Lord Bholanath. Devotees lined up early in the morning to anoint Lord Shiva and special arrangements were made by the temple management. The local administration was also barricaded to ensure that special guidelines for Corona were not violated.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath anointed Lord Shiva at Gorakhpur. CM Yogi Adityanath reached Mansarovar temple early in the morning and there he worshiped Lord Shankar.

Crowds of devotees started gathering in all the Shivalayas of Delhi from early morning. On the first Monday of Shravan, devotees gathered at the Gauri Shankar temple at Chandni Chowk to worship Lord Shiva. Before entering the temple, the temperature of all the devotees was checked and at the same time social distance was observed.
